I have learned how to create patterns from scratch, as well as how to adjust existing patterns to fit specific body types. I am excited to continue to develop my pattern-making skills and incorporate them into my future designs.

Construction - Pattern Making

Multiple Panels were used in the blouse to highlight the variety of designs made by Indian craftsman in indigo dyed fabric.

I have used White Cotton Malmal Fabric for my garment for it being breathy and comfortable. I have also used naturally dyed indigo fabric to layer and for the blouse.

Indigo-dyed fabrics is used because it is symbol of the enduring quality of Indian craftsmanship and are associated with traditional textile practices that prioritize sustainability and environmental responsibility.
